A shaped idea

You build the thing people actually want, not an expensive guess.

You build the thing people actually want, not an expensive guess.

Before a line of code we make the idea sharp: what you are making, who it is for and the one thing it has to do. That clarity keeps the whole build pointed at something real, so the weeks of work that follow go into a product people actually want rather than a polished version of the wrong thing. It is the cheapest decision in the project and the one that decides whether everything after it is worth doing. Get it sharp here and the rest of the build has a target worth hitting.

Shaping is reduction. Everything it could be narrows to the one small, sharp idea worth building.

Why it matters

Most builds fail before any code, by making the wrong thing quickly, and AI makes that worse because it will happily build whatever you say. Speed pointed at the wrong idea is just rework with a nicer commit history. The most expensive mistakes are the ones you make before you start.

How it works

Shaping your specific idea is the first thing we do together, and it depends entirely on what you are trying to make. That is the work. Talk to me about your idea.
